Caring. Bouncing Back. Avoiding Dementia
60 seconds. 3 simple ideas. Supercharge your whole week.
Happy Monday! Three golden nuggets in 60 seconds. Don’t waste them...
1: CARING: Whatever your product, however impressive your expertise, people will never care how much you know until they know how much you care.
Nobody wants to be sold to, but most people appreciate being helped.
Start from a place of loving curiosity - (ask “what do you want more of in your life?” then “what do you want less of?”) - and you’ll soon have them asking how they can pay you to give them those things, today.
2: BOUNCING BACK: Moping around after a setback is not a success trait. As James Clear says -
When you’re five, you can be mad for a day
When you’re ten, you can be mad for an hour
By the time you’re thirty, you get ten minutes - and then you have to move on.
Life is never linear, and there’ll always be stuff that leaves you feeling low. How long and how low are decisions you’ll have to make multiple times on the path to your goals.
3: AVOIDING DEMENTIA: A new study of 5,000 adults over 45 showed how physical activity could significantly lower the risk of mental decline.
Strength training, walking and cycling all showed clear benefits, especially when continued habitually into the 60s and 70s. It’s never too late to start, and consistency is way more important than intensity.
Do what you can, but do something.
BONUS 3A: What are you working on this week? Drop me a reply and I’ll give you an idea to turn it into impact (and revenue!) more quickly.
See you around,
Jonny
